Commercial Content Shoot for Siobhan Walsh Yoga

Client: Siobhan Walsh

Date: Summer 2022

Location: Warren Beach Rosscarbery

Client’s Instagram

Siobhan approached me at the beginning of summer in 2022.

She told me she needed some professional content for her yoga business that she was starting later in the year. In our first conversation, the focus was primarily on shooting photos that could be used across social media, Instagram, Facebook etc.

But during out phone call, I also floated the idea of shooting a few short instagram reels as well. With the increased growth on short form video content now, I thought it would be a great option for a business starting out and see some immediate traction.

So we fixed a date for shooting, and headed to the Warren Beach Rosscarbery during the summer to shoot & capture content, check out the results!

Why Short Videos Work For Startups

Immediate Engagement

Due to the push instagram have made to reels, engagement on reels and short form content has gone through the roof. For accounts that don't already have an established following, publishing short videos is a great way to get yourself out there from the get go.

Tell More of a Story

Videos can tell a more personal story as they incorporate more emotive elements, such as music, dynamic movement and sometimes dialogue. For Siobhan, we wanted to capture the calming nature of her yoga practice, by using the ocean in the background and some calming music along with her posing, I think we achieved it.

Repurpose Content Means Better Value

We only shot a small amount of video content on the day, but I was able to repurpose the video content into a few reels. This means better value for the client and more dynamic content compared to just static images.
