National Ploughing Championships 2023
The National Ploughing Championships, one of the largest and most iconic events in Ireland’s annual calendar, offered us an incredible opportunity to showcase our event photography and event video production skills. This year, we were delighted to collaborate with Clonakilty Black Pudding, a renowned West Cork business, to capture their vibrant presence at the event.
Ahead of the championships, we worked closely with their marketing team, Roisin and Julie, to fully understand their needs and develop a clear brief. The team required a collection of high-quality event photography that could be used to promote their brand’s participation in the Ploughing Championships. Additionally, we were tasked with producing two dynamic video assets: a highlight Instagram reel optimised for social media engagement and a landscape-format highlight video tailored for their YouTube channel.
Despite challenging shooting conditions—think lots of mud—we were able to capture vibrant, engaging visuals that reflected the lively atmosphere and Clonakilty Black Pudding’s connection to the community. The photos and videos showcased everything from candid interactions at their booth to the bustling crowds, capturing the energy and essence of the event. The client was thrilled with the results, and it was a pleasure to work with such a respected local brand from West Cork.
Beyond the Ploughing Championships
Following the success of the Ploughing Championships, we continued our collaboration with Roisin and her team by providing commercial photography for Clonakilty Black Pudding’s visitor centre and butcher shop. Located in the heart of Clonakilty, Co. Cork, these facilities highlight the brand’s heritage and quality, making them a joy to document.
Working on these projects has been a fantastic experience, showcasing the diversity and importance of event photography and video production in Cork and beyond.
