Taidgh Richards
Hi there! My name is Taidgh Richards, and I’m a professional photographer and videographer from Rosscarbery, West Cork. Although these days I also live in Cork City and I’m often travelling all throughout Cork for work.
I graduated during the pandemic with a BA in Film & Screen Media from UCC, and like many others at that time I was unsure what the future had in store.
Being from West Cork, I noticed that a lot of small businesses were struggling to adapt to the sudden surge in online content that was required to keep their businesses going. Taking initiative, I decided to approach some of these businesses offering my services in exchange for building experience and portfolio.
I was able to build working experience, a solid portfolio and most importantly, some fantastic client relationships.
I now run my own photography/videography business professionally, creating visual content for businesses, big and small, so that they can continue to adapt to the demand of social media.
Oh, and I’m also interested in: languages (I speak Spanish & Irish), travel, classical guitar and my most recent obsession is indoor bouldering!
Working With Me
Fostering and maintaining productive client relationships is the foundation of my business, and you’ll see this exemplified throughout my work, and the numerous regular clients that I have. In fact, I have very few clients with whom I’ve worked only once, which I think speaks to the way that I work.
Understanding your needs forms a large part of my creative process. Of course I bring my own style to each of my shoots, but ultimately my goal is to deliver visuals that fit your brand. When working together, I believe communication is key so each side is completely clear on what’s needed and there are no surprises after the fact.
